Tips on buying that car for you

There are many things you have to look for when buying that car for you. Is it better to buy new or used? Should you buy a car that is certified pre-owned? Should you hire a mechanic to check the car over before buying, would it be worth it? These questions I am going to  answer them, so you can find that car for you!

Is it better to buy new or used? When you purchase a new car off a lot it has it advantages, your getting the latest gadgets and you get to the pick the color of course that isn't the cheapest way to go, but buying new has its pros and cons. Your getting a car you can rely on, and won't be breaking down hopefully not for a couple years. At least I would be hoping it doesn't for that kind of money. Also when you buy new, you know that the car hasn't been through hell from the last owner. New cars are also getting more kilometres to a tank, and aren't all that expensive, alot of people look for that in car. There are some cons when you buy new, as soon as it comes off the lot its depreciating 25%.So when you go to sell that car, you won't get as much when you go to sell it.

Certified pre-owned vehicles are used cars which have been inspected and certified by the car manufacturer prior to being placed on a sales lot. They are used, but factory certified and come with a warranty, much like a brand new car. Your getting a good vehicle when you buy cerified pre-owned.

If your buying a car from an autotrader, or a classified ad, a good thing to do is to hire a mechanic to come with you to check it out.  If not there's a ten point inspection you should look over on the car.

1. check the paint                     2. check for rust

3. check the glass                 4. check the doors

5. check the tires                       6. check the suspension

7. check the exhaust pipe       8. check the odometer

9. check the vin                      10. check the engine

After your done your ten point inspection, if you see any of those or it has any problems try another vehicle. You could also drop the price of that vehicle if it needs work done to it.
